Local report 2016 – A BRIEF REPORT ON HOUSE SWISSAIR

Children in the Swissair-family house:  Girls 2, Boys 3

The family house El Faouez in the SOS Children’s Village Mahres, where mom Nejia and her five children live, has the cozy atmosphere of a happy family. There were six until autumn but the eldest boy, Anis, was transferred to the SOS Youth hostel.

As soon as he was transferred, Anis was quickly integrated into the group and was able to consolidate his new landmarks. Moreover, the mother and his Youth Educator felt a marked improvement in his behavior. He has become much calmer, more stable and his academic results are much improved. Anis often comes to the village and visits his SOS mother and the whole family.

Fares, Nour and Nahawand continue their primary schooling in the 2nd year. Their academic results are always excellent. On the other hand, the little girl Aya has some difficulty in school. She is a bit lazy to learn. Her SOS mother Nejia helps her is some subjects. The Village Educator encourages her to start some tutoring classes. We can say that we felt a little improvement in her school results.

In addition of the school activities, the children are energetically engaged in the village’s clubs. They are active members of the choir and good sportsmen. Together with their siblings from the village, they go to the SOS Taekwondo Club and train twice a week.

Their brother Rayen does not go to school yet. He is still going to the kindergarten. He is in the pre-school class. This class is not difficult for him. He is satisfied with everything and has many interests. Coloring is his favorite.
