Children in the Swissair-family house: Girls 5, Boys 2
The Tamarindo family started the year with the best energy, together with the caregiver Frannelys Marquez, the SOS mother is a very positive and calm person, she usually transmits this good attitude to the children and adolescents of the house.
They have the habit of contemplating, taking care of and enjoying nature, they really love plants and also animals. Jorge* is the youngest in the house, he is 7 years old, along with his 11-year-old sister Dana they enjoy playing together, watching the cats that sneak between the neighboring windows and imagining creative names to call them… “Bruno, bruno” calls Jorge to one of the cats, while Dana tells him “No, Jorge, his name is Pluto, everyone calls him that”.
Meanwhile Karla, Yenny and Leo enjoy doing crafts, the three decorate a pot to plant a beautiful plant that they hope to give to their friends, Karla is 13 years old and loves to draw, she always practices in the afternoons. While 11-year-old Yenny likes and enjoys practicing outdoor sport-activities and eight year old Leo plays soccer for fun, “Yenny! I want to draw multicolored flowers.” exclaims Leo as he steps forward to pick up the brush. Graciela, 12 years old, and Rosa, 13 years old, are very good friends, they talk together, make jokes and take care of the garden. Graciela says: “We always go out together to water the garden to keep it beautiful, the aunt lets us play and sometimes Leo and Jorge go out, too. And we play with wather.”
Aunt Frannelys expresses that playing in nature can teach them to value the environment: “I like that they are close to the animals, that they take care of the plants and that they enjoy being in natural spaces, so when they are older they will value their environment and not harm it.”
