Local report 2021 – A BRIEF REPORT ON HOUSE SWISSAIR

Children in the Swissair-family house:  Girls 2, Boys 4

At the end of yet another impactful year, I am happy to bring you greetings from the SOS CV Tema. Your sponsorship has helped improve the lives of the children in our care and is making it possible for them to enjoy their childhood. You have been our backbone and we are so proud of you. Thank you once more for your generosity. Enjoy this brief update from House Swissair.
The total number of children in House Swissair stood at six (6) as at the end of the year 2021. Thus four boys and two girls. Mother Theresa makes sure she provides the necessary mentorship for her children.

Vanes, after staying home for 10 months due to the Covid-19 pandemic is so excited to back in school, he enjoyed the online sessions organized by the school but prefers the physical school experience. ‘I missed playing with my best friend Sampson at school. I am happy to be back to school and can have fun with all my friends.’ Said Vanes
Mother Theresa says Vanes is always eager to go to school so he can play with his friends, he also has improved his handwriting and number work.
Vanes turns four years in September this year, and his love for dancing is so amazing. He likes to dance to any music playing on the radio at home. Vanes always makes dancing looks so easy and fun.
I am very happy to inform you that Vivian is in her first year at the university reading BSc Psychology. She is getting used to her new school environment and is also taking her studies seriously to enable her come out successfully. She visits her SOS family in the Children’s Village on holidays to assist her mother.
Grace is in year three at the primary school. She is excited to see her friends back in school as well after the restrictions due to the pandemic were lifted. ‘Fortunately for Grace she receives extra tuition to help her do better in school. She has a good attitude towards school and I am looking forward to her making it to the next class,’ said her mother.
Grace also enjoys singing along to songs on the radio or TV and have fun with her brothers Abraham and Vanes playing twister or at the playground. “Elisha makes it fun for all of us every time”, Grace said.
Grace is part of a group of children who are learning how to play stringed instruments. They meet twice a week for rehearsals and Grace is always on time. Playing the violin is a nice activity but Grace sees it as an opportunity to explore her musical talent,’ says her tutor.
Thank you for your continuous support towards creating enabling environment for the less privileged children.
