Local report 2016 – A BRIEF REPORT ON HOUSE SWISSAIR

Children in the Swissair-family house:  Girls 2, Boys 3

Karina and José used to be the ones that motivated their siblings to go on in life, especially regarding studies. Since end of year, José decided to become completely independent. He is now happy living with his girlfriend and studies at the university. He will be a great architect! However, he frequently visits his family and continues cheering them up. Karina is attending primary school and has a good performance. She is very close to her SOS mom and likes to pay attention to her advice. Karina now knows how to clean her clothes and when to support at home. She is a sociable and talkative girl who likes to participate in different activities. She recently took part in a workshop called Social Circus. This activity helps her in some topics, such as teamwork and self-confidence. Leo and Miguel are the youngest boys of the house. Miguel is in the last year of primary school and Miguel is in his first secondary school. They both love to play soccer in the afternoons. Leo likes to help at home, especially when it is time to cook. In other hand Miguel does not like to do chores but he does it to help his mom. Leo and Miguel struggle a bit with making friends. They are passing through adolescence and they are facing all kind of new challenges. Also sometimes they have difficulty with some subjects but their SOS mom is always there to help them to improve their grades. Roberto has grown up a lot! He is in his second year of secondary school and he is doing great. Roberto is very close to his siblings and they enjoy playing soccer together. María, the oldest of the family, is now in high school and struggles with English subject. However, she is in a remedial workgroup and she is improving little by little. Her SOS mother talks to her when María does not want to do her daily activities because she sometimes does not feel in a good mood. María is taking a workshop about human development that helps her to have emotional stability.
