Local report 2012 – A BRIEF REPORT ON HOUSE SWISSAIR
When the fridge is switched on, it causes the power to trip [switch off at the main]; it also freezes the food in the main part of the fridge. The curtains are old and need to be replaced. There is need for Computers and desks for school projects.
Children in the Swissair-family house: Girls 3, Boys 5
Sanele:
is attending Business College. She will be 21 this year.
Thulisile: is in the final year of her formal schooling. She plans to enrol at University next year and study Public Relations.
Sibongile: is repeating grade nine. She does not spend much time on her studies and rather be involved in the youth forum and Drum Majorettes.
Kenneth:
is in his final year at school. He is keen to study agriculture/ or related fields.
Given:
is in grade eight. He likes to abscond from school and this impacts on his performance. He has asked the team to re-unite him with his biological family.
Mthokozisi:
is in his final year at school. He wants to study architecture at university.
Sandile:
is not too keen on school, he has a passion for sports, with soccer his favourite.
Sabelo:
is the youngest in the family house. He is in primary school and his school work is average.
General:
the children help their SOS mother with house hold chores-cooking, cleaning their rooms, making their beds. In their spare time the boys take part in gumboot dancing, watching or playing soccer.
